You may be aware that on Saturday 17th July the NSW Premier announced further restrictions to limit the spread of the Covid 19 delta strain in the greater Sydney region.

We are in the fortunate position that hardware and building supplies businesses are classed as essential retail. Hardware & General will therefore remain open for trading.

A major restriction impacting the building industry is that from 12.01am Monday 19th July to 11.59pm on Friday 30th July all construction, and non-urgent maintenance including cleaning services and repair work on residential premises is to be paused.

While we interpret this to be that building sites will be closed for the next 2 weeks, we will need to contact you regarding any orders you may have scheduled for delivery and seek your instruction.   You may require the delivery to be held until your building site reopens, or that the delivery is for your personal address, and you require the delivery to take place. Either way, we want to work with you and advise that during this time of restriction we will endeavour to continue with our next day free delivery service.

While we remain open, we advise:

• Our stores will continue to follow Covid safe practices,
• Our delivery service will continue with contactless delivery,
• Our sales reps will continue to provide service via telephone,
• Our website has product lists and order forms to assist you.
